DAY CAMPS for BAND & STRINGS!
With limited space, registering early is encouraged!
Band Camp is an important element in preparing to participate in Novice Band. Campers experience focused instrumental and music theory instruction and also get a glimpse of the fun, social and interactive side of playing in an ensemble setting.
A beginning music student's progress will vary depending on many factors - motivation, frequency and quality of practice, quality of instrument, to name a few. After camp, students need a few private, one-on-one lessons to be prepared for Novice Band. Parents can expect an evaluation and consultation with their child's camp instructor to ensure proper preparation for band. Continuing private lessons once enrolled in Novice Band is an excellent choice, but not a requirement.

Although students of all skill levels are welcome to join, if a student has been playing a band instrument for longer than 3 months, Beginner Band Camp may not be for them. Please email marty.m@nashvillenotes.org if you have any questions.
The first ever Nashville Notes Strings Camp is for students ages 7 and up that are brand NEW to the violin, viola, cello, or double bass! Over the course of 3 days, students will delve into essential techniques such as proper posture, bowing, finger placement, and intonation, laying the groundwork for a solid musical skillset. Plus, they’ll have the chance to connect with fellow musicians, build confidence in performance, and experience the joy of making music together!
